Oregano has beneficial effect on the respiratory system. It is used in treating of  bronchitis, pneumonia, colds, asthma, dyspnea, pulmonary tuberculosis. With sore throat, hoarseness, cough, the infusion of oregano is taken with boiled milk, especially at night. 

 

The infusion of the plant is used in disorders of the Central nervous system, neurosis, hysteria, convulsions, epilepsy, increased sexual excitability, insomnia, depression, paralysis.
