Cod liver cream is a very special delicacy, which is produced from the cod liver originating from the Iceland.
Ingredients: Iceland cod liver, cod oil, salt.
As with most fish oils, cod liver contains omega-3 fatty acids, eicosatetraenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is a type of healthy fat that has been linked with cardiovascular health, immunity and brain development.
Vitamin A 450% — Real vitamin A in the form of retinol, not beta carotene!
Vitamin D 420% — In its natural form, D3.
How to eat canned cod liver:
- Smear it on crackers.
- Put it on a baguette with some store brand cheddar cheese.
- Mix some into ground beef (good for picky kids).
- Spread some on a cheeseburger. Delicious.
- Dice it and throw some on top of your scrambled eggs.
- Use for salads
