During the almost complete lack of high-quality fresh beef on the shelves of markets in the USSR, an impressive number of various dishes were prepared on the basis of beef stewed in its own juice. Even now it is possible to cook sour green cabbage soup, borsch, Beef Stroganoff, pasta and barley with a jar of high-quality beef stewed in its own juice.
As well as being a delicacy and a substitution to fresh meat which takes hours to cook unlike bees in its own juice, it is also a rich source of vitamins and microelements. Beef in its own juice contains vitamins B1, B2, B5, B6, B9, E and PP, and also needed by the human body minerals: potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc,copper and manganese, iron, chlorine and sulphur, iodine, chromium, phosphorus and sodium.

Very good. Not too salty, soft and moist. Tastes delicious and goes well with potatoes, of course ????
